Wendy & Mark
Wendy deployed to Djibouti Africa.
Charlie & the kids (in front of falls)
Greg & Emily at law school graduation
The first picture is of Barb and I this spring. She is still teaching high school locally and I'm just finishing work with a bankruptcy of the paper company I started work with nearly ten years ago. I'm one of the last two remaining people (milking it until the last dollar is spent as my kids liketo tease!).The second is of our four kids (grown adults!) Greg, Jill, Dan, and Wendy. It was taken earlier this month at Wendy's (Wendy Halsey) Change of Commandin Norfolk, VA. She is in the Navy as a Civil Engineer and took command asa Lieutenant Commander of a unit of SEEBEE detachments. All the detachments she commands are in the in the Southeast, so her office is in Norfolk(Little Creek) and much closer to us which is good! She and Mark just moved back from Hawaii. Needless to say we are all proud of her accomplishments. I included a picture of her in Djibouti Africa. She was gone for six months which was hard for her as well as Mark and the kids (three kids - Justin 8,Kate 6, Tucker 3). She is sitting on a bunch of soccer balls because she organized several groups of us back home and we all sent soccer balls to give out to the kids in East Africa wherever she traveled. It was a big PR hit with the military and a great human relations story on an internationalscale. The picture of Greg and his wife Emily is from just last week when we were at his law school graduation in Denver. Emily finishes residency there and they will be moving to Cincinnati next month where she will do a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology (I can spell it but I don't know what it isabout!) while Greg studies to pass the bar exam in July. ObviouslyCincinnati is closer than Denver which is good! Jill and Charlie live in Spartanburg, SC where Charlie works from home as aProject manager for a Company doing renovation work for the military onnumerous military installations in the southeast. Jill is working in thehome trying to keep her four kids from driving her crazy (and homeschoolingto boot!). Max is 6, Greta is almost 5, Graham is 3, and LilyRuth is 18months. I get tired just listening on the phone to what all they do duringthe day!Dan graduated in December and is working in Athens while he prepares his application to work in the Peace Corp. He wants to serve in Southeast Asiaor where ever they need him! That's all about us in too many words and too many pictures. Have a great time and keep us in mind at the party. We'll be in Idaho July 10th through July 24th, so maybe I can get in touch and get a recap of all the stories and a copy of whatever is put together for historical purposes.
Best wishes,
Mark Kevan
